Doug Chapman

Doug Chapman, MBA, CBSE, LEED-AP - Vice President of Business Development

With more than 20 years of experience in the integrated facility services industry, Doug oversees the day-to-day management of the company’s sales and business development initiatives. He is actively involved in the Atalian Ohio Valley Region incubator program at Marshall University to promote LEED standards in building maintenance.

Doug's strength is in developing comprehensive, customized facility solutions that meet all customer expectations and requirements. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University and an MBA from Santa Clara University. In addition, Doug is a LEED-AP (Accredited Professional), a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, a CBSE, and a Certified Healthy High Performance Cleaning – Day expert.

 

Thor Sandvik

Thor Sandvik, CPA - Vice President of Finance and Administration

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with more than 25 years of experience in finance and administration, Thor oversees financial and technology initiatives for Atalian Ohio Valley Region. Prior to joining the company in 2003, he served in a variety of leadership roles, including Controller at Parallel Technologies, Supervisor Store Support at The Limited, and Manager of General Accounting and Treasurer for Canadian Operations at Fujitec America, Inc. Although he grew up in the Chicago area, Thor was born in Alaska, where, as an adult, he earned his pilot's license.

 

Robert Perlman

Robert Perlman, CBSE - Vice President of Operations

Rob joined the Atalian Ohio Valley Region team in 1996 as the Branch Manager of our Columbus, Ohio location, bringing with him more than 15 years in the contract security industry and contract cleaning business. He served as Columbus Branch Manager for 10 years before being promoted to Eastern Region Vice President of Operations in 2006. Rob served as Chief of Police in the Columbus area for many years before joining the contracting industry. One of his most notable accomplishments was helping to set up contract security for the 1996 summer Olympics in Atlanta, where he presided over venues for the soccer and crew events.

 

Sean Letwat

Sean Letwat, CBSE - Vice President of Operations and Sales

Sean has 24+ years of experience in the integrated facility services industry. As a member of the senior management team, Sean develops new techniques for service delivery, and conducts strategic planning and the ongoing improvement of marketing practices. Prior to joining Atalian Ohio Valley Region, Sean worked in progressively responsible positions within the industry for 18+ years, most recently as a Regional Vice President.

He was awarded President's Council in 2010 for excellence in profitability, compliance, and safety. Sean has been recognized by the Louisville Chapter of IFMA as Associate of the Year in 2013, 2008 and 2006. Sean holds a B.A. in Speech Communications from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In addition, Sean is a member of the Rotary Club of Louisville, a CBSE, and a Certified Healthy High Performance Cleaning – Day Expert.

 

Valerie Morris

Valerie Morris - Vice President of Human Resources and Safety and Risk

Valerie brings to Atalian Ohio Valley Region an extensive background in Human Resources and Training & Development leadership, which she leverages to lead her team in delivering services to all associates across the enterprise. Valerie has also developed, implemented, and maintained proactive Workplace Safety and Risk Management solutions in conjunction with programs that ensure compliance with federal, state, and local occupational safety and health laws. Through the use of transformation management strategies and the Building Effective Safety Teams (B.E.S.T.™) program, Valerie focuses on providing a proactive, safe work environment for all clients.

Valerie has established continued success improving bottom line profitability, productivity, and processes for organizational development and continuous improvement. A student from Bronx Community College in New York City majoring in Education and Psychology, Valerie’s management career background includes such companies such as Q3 Industries and Fifth Third Bank. She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management and is OSHA 10/30 certified.
